What's Covered

General Accident Insurance is a package of practical covers for everyday business risks. Money Insurance covers cash in transit or on premises against loss or theft. Fidelity Guarantee protects against financial loss caused by employee dishonesty or fraud. Group Travel covers staff on business trips, and Group Personal Accident provides a lump sum or income benefit if an employee is injured, disabled, or killed in an accident, at work or otherwise.

Who Needs It

Businesses that handle cash, employ staff who travel for work, or want to protect their team against accidental injury typically bundle these covers together rather than buying separate policies. It's a practical add-on for most UAE businesses alongside their core liability and property cover.

Why Go Through Al Berwaz

Al Berwaz helps you pick only the covers you actually need from this package, rather than paying for elements that don't apply to your business, and compares pricing across UAE insurers to keep it cost-effective.

Ask Us a Question

+

What is general accident insurance?

General accident is a group of covers that protect a business and its employees against everyday risks outside the main property and liability policies. At Al Berwaz, this includes money insurance, fidelity guarantee, group personal accident and group travel insurance.

+

What does money insurance cover?

Money insurance covers loss of cash, cheques and other money through theft or robbery, both while it's on your premises, such as in a safe or till, and while it's being carried to or from the bank. Many policies also cover damage to safes and injury to employees during a robbery.

+

What is fidelity guarantee insurance?

Fidelity guarantee covers financial losses caused by employee dishonesty, such as theft, fraud or embezzlement of money or goods. It can cover named employees, specific positions like cashiers and accountants, or your whole workforce.

+

What is group personal accident insurance?

Group personal accident (GPA) pays fixed benefits to employees who suffer accidental death, permanent disability or temporary disablement. Cover can apply during working hours only, or 24 hours a day worldwide, and it's a valued employee benefit alongside medical insurance.

+

Is group personal accident the same as workmen's compensation?

No. Workmen's compensation covers your legal liability as an employer when employees are injured at work under UAE labour law. Group personal accident pays agreed benefits for accidents whether or not anyone is at fault, and can cover accidents outside work too. Many employers carry both.

+

What does group travel insurance cover?

Group travel insurance covers employees travelling on business under one annual policy, instead of buying cover for every trip. It typically includes emergency medical treatment and evacuation abroad, trip cancellation and disruption, and lost baggage.

+

How are premiums for general accident covers calculated?

It depends on the cover. For money insurance, insurers look at the amounts held and carried and your security measures. For fidelity guarantee, the number of employees, their roles and your internal controls. For group personal accident, headcount, occupations and benefit levels. For group travel, how often employees travel and where.
